Thank you for volunteering for the Hansa Worlds. Please complete the following form to assist the Organising Authority in assigning tasks.

Induction Day 1 – 9am on Saturday 8 March – at RPAYC

Induction Day 2 – 6pm on Friday 14 March – at RPAYC

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
To ensure smooth operations, volunteers have been allocated across six key areas:
✅ Race Management – Assisting the race committee with course setup, mark laying, and race execution.
✅ Welcome Desk – Checking in competitors, providing event information, and offering general assistance.
✅ Boat Measuring & Compliance – Assisting with equipment inspection to ensure boats meet class regulations.
✅ Parking & Traffic Management – Coordinating arrivals, directing vehicles, and managing on-site congestion.
✅ Support Boat Operations & Crewing – Manning support boats to assist sailors and manage safety.
✅ Dockside Assistance – Helping sailors launch and retrieve boats and ensuring efficient movement on the waterfront.
Each role is vital to the event’s success, and while significant planning has gone into structuring these teams, flexibility will be required as we adapt to evolving needs.
Key Dates & What to Expect
📅 10 March – Hansa boats begin arriving in the Crystal Bay Carpark. Some competitors may arrive early to begin preparations.
📅 19 March – RPA Autumn Race 5; expected early arrival of IDP participants.
📅 20 March – Final RPA Twilight Race; IDP & Hansa Welcome Desk opens; IDP on-water sessions commence; boat weighing & measuring begins.
📅 21-23 March – IDP training sessions continue; ongoing boat weighing & measuring for the Hansa Championships.
📅 23 March – Major influx of Hansa sailors arriving for event registration, classification, and final equipment checks.
📅 24 March – Official practice race, competitor briefing, and opening ceremony. All boats must be launched by 1700.
📅 25-30 March – Hansa Championship race days, with a scheduled lay day on 27 March.
📅 30 March – Final races, presentation & closing ceremony.
