The Hansa Class World and International Championships were held for the first time in Asia in 2018, in the Japanese city of Hiroshima.

The regatta took place from 12th to 18th of October 2018, and saw 191 sailors from 24 countries taking part. Sailing took place in the Hansa 2.3, 303 singles and doubles and Liberty divisions.

The event was a celebration of Japanese culture and organisation, with the Organising Authority arranging interpreters for each nation, an ‘Athlete’s Village’ for sailors to relax in between events, and an amazing viewing platform for spectators, which took them closer to the action than ever before.

Sailing took place over 5 days with light winds during several sessions.

Results for the 2018 Hansa Class Worlds Championships were:

Hansa 2.3

Hansa 303 singles

Hansa 303 doubles

Liberty & Liberty Servo
