Palermo is the regional capital of the island of Sicily with over 1.3 million inhabitants.

Palermo reflects the diverse history of the region in that the city contains many masterpieces from different periods, including romanesque, gothic, renaissance and baroque architecture as well as examples of modern art.

Palermo’s main airport Palermo International Airport (known as Falcone-Borsellino Airport) is about 30km from the heart of the City. It is serviced by direct flights from many Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Pisa, Naples, Bologna, Florence and Venice, along with other cities including, Barcelona, Berlin, Malta, Brussels, Paris (Orly), Manchester and London (Stansted & Gatwick).

The Port of Palermo is located in the heart of Palermo, which means that this point of access is easy to get to, and puts you off right in the center of the history and art that makes the city famous.
